On January 9, 2022, Hunan Xiangtou Jintiantian Metal Co., Ltd. (Jintiantian) and Hunan Walin Lianyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (Walin Lianyuan) joined forces, achieving a breakthrough in the key control technology of the shape of ultra-large width-to-thickness ratio hot-rolled titanium strip coils. They successfully produced a super-wide, thin-specification, large-weight hot-rolled titanium strip coil with specifications of 5.3×2040×C (mm) and a weight of 10.7 tons. This maximizes the advantages of Walin Lianyuan's 2250 hot continuous rolling line and further expands the range of hot-rolled coil products offered by Jintiantian. This 'titanium-steel collaboration' has yielded another success!

The successful launch of this product solves the problem of customer demand for large-diameter pipes, oversized cylinders, and equipment that require large-width, thin-specification titanium strip coils in large quantities. It avoids the increased costs and quality risks associated with welding methods due to insufficient width. At the same time, coil production, compared to traditional plate production, improves product stability, consistency, and batch capacity, significantly shortening production cycles.

Looking back to 2007, Jintiantian, upholding the Hunan spirit of daring to be the first, pioneered the 'titanium-steel collaboration' model in China. Together with Walin Lianyuan, they developed China's first large-weight, wide-width hot-rolled titanium strip coil, achieving the full process localization of 'hot-rolled titanium strip coil-cold-rolled titanium strip coil-titanium welded pipe,' filling a gap in domestic technology and setting a milestone for China's titanium industry.

After fourteen years of hard work, Jintiantian has grown into a leading enterprise in wide-width, high-performance titanium strip coils. Its products are used in nuclear power, military industry, 3C, chemical industry, and other fields.
