Dust Fire Emergency Response Plan Drill

In order to test and improve employees' ability to correctly handle emergency incidents of dust fires, enhance the safety awareness and self-protection awareness of all employees, and effectively prevent and deal with dust fire accidents, under the guidance of the company's safety and environmental protection department and the strip mill leadership, on the afternoon of August 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM, the shot blasting and pickling section organized all staff to participate in a dust fire accident emergency response plan drill.

This plan ignited a mixture of titanium and iron powder on-site (a small amount of shot powder was used in an open area to ensure safety), using three different fire extinguishing methods: fire sand, dry powder fire extinguishers, and lime residue, to test the feasibility and practicality of fire extinguishing. The tests showed that all three methods can effectively extinguish dust fires, and using lime residue is particularly effective as it is readily available and achieves the same results.
